John Smale has been in practice since 1995 and has successfully helped thousands of clients. He is an experienced, fully trained and professionally qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist and NLP practitioner. He operates a completely CONFIDENTIAL practice. He specialises in anxiety disorders such as panic attacks, stress, IBS, public speaking, fear of flying and other phobias. He has helped thousands of people to stop smoking and to lose weight. His prime motivation is to achieve the result that each presenting client wishes. This demands the high quality of treatment that is offered. John has appeared on local radio and is the author of books about hypnotherapy and has produced relaxation and self-help recordings available as audio downloads. He has agreed to, and is bound by a strict "Code of Practice and Ethics" to "discharge from treatment, at the earliest possible moment, consistent with the good care of the client, each and every client who presents themselves for treatment". As a result, many local GPs refer their patients to him. As therapies such as hypnotherapy become more and more popular, so the choice of a suitable practitioner becomes more important. The following guidelines are intended to help you to ask the correct questions when looking for a suitable therapist: 1. The practitioner should have had formal academic and practical training in the use of therapeutic hypnosis from a known and recognised professional training body. 2. He/she should have current membership of known and recognised professional associations. 3. He/she should carry professional indemnity insurance. 4. He/she should have agreed to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Practice. 5. There should be a fixed maximum charge, and a maximum duration of therapy. 6. He/she should offer a free introductory consultation in order to allow you to understand what the therapy will involve. 7. The practice should be in a separate office rather than the therapist's home to ensure maximum safety, privacy and confidentiality. 8. Hypnotherapy should only be undertaken by experienced and professional practitioners. It should not be a hobby or a sideline! 01252 815682 |
